Dr. David Rohrdanz was born in Buffalo New York. He obtained a B.S. from St. Lawrence University and attended State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School. He completed his residency in family medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1982, he went into private practice in San Mateo, California.
In 1992, Dave moved to Sacramento, California, to practice family medicine with a large multi-specialty medical group. There he served as chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. In 2008, he joined the State of California Department of Corrections, initially as a physician advisor across multiple prison locations. While there he developed and instituted the then novel Telemedicine Program for primary care at the prison level for the state.
Dave retired in 2019 and relocated to Southport, North Carolina. He and his wife Leslie, an artist and retired occupational therapist, are grateful for the natural beauty and wonderful people they are finding in North Carolina. They actively seek to give back to the community and are pleased to be able to support and be a part of Brunswick Partnership for Housing.
