Brunswick Partnership for Housing Receives Truist Foundation Grant

Southport, NC, August 8, 2022 – Brunswick Partnership for Housing (BPH) announced it received a $25,000 grant from the Truist Foundation. This generous grant will be put to immediate use according to BPH executive director, Sally Learned.  “We are grateful to the Truist Foundation,” she said.  “With this grant, the construction and renovation of our building continues.

“We’ve seen a rise in the need for families without permanent residence.  The sooner our renovation is complete, the sooner we can house families in need.”  The BPH building, located at 250 E. 11th Street in Southport, will include four apartments to house families who are homeless and seek a path to permanent housing.

“This grant will help Brunswick Partnership for Housing continue its outstanding work of providing transitional housing to those in need,” said Chris Isley, Eastern North Carolina regional president for Truist. “Our partnership demonstrates Truist’s purpose to inspire better lives and communities, and we’re proud to support their efforts to build a stronger foundation for families in Brunswick County.”
